Viiratsi Eel Farm has been farming European eel (Anguilla Anguilla) since 2013. We are one of the few eel farms in the Baltic region, combining tradition with innovative aquaculture technologies. What We Do? We specialize in growing European eel from glass eel stage to market size – 120 – 800 grams. We offer live, fresh and gutted eel for sale. We are actively committed to the conservation of this globally endangered species by raising glass eels into fingerlings (2–20 grams) and releasing them by orders into natural waters as stronger and more resilient individuals. Our farm operates on a closed recirculating aquaculture system (RAS), which supports environmental sustainability through water reuse. We are committed to energy- and environmentally efficient production by using solar energy in producing.
